Finding a great hotel when you’re travelling in Austin Texas isn’t actually easy, due to the fact that you will find so much choice! Certainly, you can choose something out of the same Austin guide which everybody and their brother has consulted for the past few years, but that does not imply you will have a nice experience (in fact, it’d just about guarantee a terrible one!). Instead, it is a good idea to do a dash of research, using your close friend the world wide web. Locals will forever be aware of the best places to stay in their own city, just what the best accommodations are, and the perfect occasions to visit their top parts of the city. Nevertheless, you shouldn’t be going up to everybody you run into in the airport in Austin, demanding their hints and tips. So in lieu, we’ve put together this quick list of our 3 most-loved hotels in Austin for you. These are the ones we would suggest to our close friends when they come to visit – but since we don’t want you to imagine we’re just being biased, below are the ratings from Yelp.com:

1. Hotel San José

The Patio is like an oasis from the busy bars during SXSW.
Great wine and drinks served in a beautifully decorated patio with rustling bamboo. Order the Michelada.
I was lucky enough to stay for a few nights and the service was impeccable. Everyone was really friendly (as almost everyone I met in Austin was) and eager to help. Room was really clean and simply designed with some hip touches. Even though I didn’t take advantage, I love that you can order a typewriter to your room.
I would definitely stay here again – and wish that every city had a hotel as beautiful as the San Jose.

Business partner and I stayed there in April of 2011. Excellent service, accommodation and pool. Friendly staff and generally a nice hotel. Worth the extra $20-30 you may save on a motel.
The room and hotel were one of the better parts of our trip. Would recommend to anyone with a $100 a night (total) budget!
